For those interested, the Independent Film Channel (IFC) will be showing a "Director's spotlight" on Akira Kurosawa on Friday November 10th. At 8pm Eastern Standard (US), they are playing a "Akira Kurosawa: The Last Emperor" which is a documentary about him. Following at 9pm they are showing his last movie(?) "Rhapsody in August" about a Japanese woman recalling her WW2 memories. Unfortunately, IFC is not showing any of his samurai movies this month. http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/frown.gif
