What modern martial art is most similer to sword fighting during the Sengoku Jidai? Or is there no modern equivalant? I was just wondering...

Not only are there equivalents, but the very same arts are still being practiced today. Japanese traditions go back a *long* way.

For one example of a Sengoku (or, in this case, late Sengoku / early Edo) sword fighting style, try Yagyû Shinkage Ryû Kenjutsu.
