Unify, as to unify, could be 'touitsu', but you might want a second opinion - I'm pretty rusty.

The Japanese phrase for the United States of America is Ga shu koku. But I can't find the root of the word for united (Ga) in my Japanese kanji book.

Try this link. It's a online japanese-english dictionary.

It looks pretty straight forward.

Gaijin! (Ga) Get the hell outa here! (shu) Leave the money on the table! (koku)

The name originated in the red-lite district of Tokyo (well, that's what I heard!)
