Man, RAN is soooo good...

I just watched Ran again - with my 4 year old no less (well, he watches me play STW and knows more about Samurai than his mother). That movie is soooo good. I especially love the way Kurasawa pauses the camera as the characters struggle to decide their fates or simply, go nuts.

Anyone know if the DVD is letterboxed? The video is old, cut down, and needs to be remastered.

Amazon.com has one that is "widescreen". I may get one, too.

i just picked up Akira cheap at Virgin. Ran widescreen is even more of a "must have"
