VI Modding Changes?

I've had MTW for quite a while now, and I'll be getting VI soon at a low, low price. Right now however my main question is how VI improved upon the modding capabilities of vanilla MTW? Mostly interested in whether units can be assigned new values of some sort... ~;)

VI improves the game and makes the it much more modable. There are a huge amount of info on how to mod MTW+VI here, so you can start very quickly. You can edit the unit, give them new values and lots of other cool stuff, but you will need some programs that can be downloaded at download section.
