Does RTW MP cause probs with MTW MP ??

Hi everyone ~:wave:

I have a friend who I tend to play MP with but so far have not managed to get RTW MP up and running with her. We decided to have an MTW: VI MP for old times sake. Unfortunately I can't seem to get onto Gamespy on MTW: VI as there is already someone with my name.................I guess that's ME. It rings a bell with me that in the not too distant past someone mentioned this. Can someone remind me what is happening?

Yes, I think you will find that you are stuck with this.
I was one of a few that fell foul of Gamespy with name change.
All I wanted to do was inform them of a change of email addy and they wouldn't let me use my original name .
As soon as I registered with my new email addy my name wasn't allowed.
Kept telling me there was already a person with that name. :furious3:
So I had to change my name slightly to get it accepted.
Sad state of affairs I know.

I have used an old aol e-mail address and it has let me set up a 2nd account so I can play MTW:VI on MP.
