Been wondering... do the FC stats afect in any way the general "going" of all the Faction?

I mean, does a FC with good admin ranking make the faction earn more money?
Or one with good influence levels make the faction more trustworthy for other factions?
Genetic traits passing along the family?
Something along these lines?

Because if it doesn't matter, then there's really no point on caring about who's faction leader and heir. Or is there?

As far as i know the stats of the leader don't have any effect on your empire. They only matter in battles and for governing city's. So you're right, it really doesn't matter who your faction leader is, even though you can choose it now. In MTW it was the other way around, it did matter who your faction leader was, but you didn't get to pick him.

As the tokai says, it hasn't been proven that your faction leader inherently matters (except perhaps for Senate/popular support).

There have been rumours that faction leader influence rating affects the general stability of the empire, but these have never been confirmed.

What we do know, is that management rating of the faction leader has no effect on the profitability of your cities.
