Vanishing Armies??

Playing Selucids, I had 3 armies full of War Elephants with full armour, Cataphracts, Bowmen etc.....and attacked a Roman city in the desert.....Even though I outnumbered them 3 to 1 and my general(s) were all 4-star generals compared to their 1 army in the city with 2 stars.....I suffered an "average defeat"???

If that wasn't baffling enough.....my armies all retreated and disappeared. I had explored the entirety of that portion of the map, but alas no trace of any of the 3 armies even though I had well over 1000 men left.....

I reloaded to right before the scenario and attacked again and the same thing happened.....because I had used up my move points....I couldn't even retreat and break off the siege of the city in order to save the 3 armies from this obvious game glitch.....

it's because you've run out of move points.

if you attack when your army is at the end of it's tehter and don't win, then that entire army is broken up and gone....
tough, eh?
