So here I am as the Brutii going about my buisness, taking the rest of the greek penninsula from Macedon. So they are down to just Larissa and Corinth in greece proper and then I noticed that Larissa is at the huge city level. Needless to say that I was like :furious3: because it was 240 BC and I wanted to use triarii more. So I take Larissa and vent my fury on the city by macecuring the population then I wait for the marian reforms to happen. But the event doesn't come :dizzy2: . Then I think wait a)that's a royal palace and b)I didn't build it. So now thanks to a slight loop hole in the code I can build triarii urbans and praetorians at Larissa. As evidenced by the pics below

PS the bloody trait makes for some funny pre-battel speeches "I want to bath in their blood, I want to bath in their blood for a week."

A few days earlier playing as Armenia i get a funny message it said that the Brutii had been outlawed. It went something like "the Brutii have been outlawed by their precious senate and now cannot look to their fellow Romans for aide and perhaps they are vulnerable". And a messages about the start of the Roman civil war. Pic below (I had another one but it was lost :disappointed: due to a storage malfunction.

Well, it is not tied to the Palace, but the Barracks if I'm not mistaken, thus it is possible for a while to train at least Praetorians, but Urbans... That's odd.

no, it is tied to the palace, but a ROMAN has to build it, which is quite easy to do early on if you take carthage

ah the little loopholes... an unusual but certaintly not impossible situation.
