Tenki 1v1 Tourney

Hi guys,

I hope everyone was able to read and understand the news post (it should be up shortly).

To give a few more details,

it will be May 13 at 7PM (GMT) and will spill over onto May 20 for the final matches if we get a good number of entrants. If you can't make the second weekend, please register anyways and we can probably figure something out if you go on.

The WINNER will get a Tanto provided by Oriental Swords, (picture at tourney page) and so we will need someone 18+ to be able to accept it.
SECOND-AND-THIRD-PLACE:
Will each get an Warlord Expansion, provided by EA upon it release

Please read the rules and notice the maps allowed. GREEN is NOT allowed in the regular battles, and is only usable for tie-breaks.

The "world cup style":

Means round robin action first with top 2 advancing and then single elimination to get our winners.

Pre-registration:

Very necessary in order to construct the bracket/grouping ahead of time. However, there will probably be a few openings come the actual day of the tourney (usually are a few at least), but please try to pre-reg.

Hosts:
There will be a number of Tenki's there, who will not be playing any games, but will all be acting as moderators/hosts of different rooms to make the tourney more orderly. They have FINAL SAY in their room. DO NOT ARGUE with them, but if you think you have a legitimate question, please ask, or seek out the main host.

also, Oriental Swords, the sponsor who is donating the Tanto should have a working web address shortly. Once it is up, I hope you all can take a look at the site.

If there are any other questions regarding the tourney, I am more than happy to answer them here.

Phoenix,

It seems unlikely that we would change the time of the ENTIRE tourney....

We chose the time to maximize number of ppl that could play. 7PM (GMT) was chosen b/c of the high number of Brits and other Europeans, and the high number of Americans online.

This being said, we know there are a decent number of Australians, and MAYBE if you and enough Australians speak up, we might be able to accomodate you, but I CAN NOT gurantee that we will be able to. -we might be able to form a single all-Australian group for the round robin part-

But, we would need at least 5 ppl who want to play in the tourney from Australia, but can't be online at the regularly scheduled time for the tourney.

If you like, feel free to spread the word Phoenix to your other Aussie mates. In the meantime, I suggest you register and put "Australia" as your country.---If we see a number of ppl registering with Australia as their country, we can better gauge the problem and come up with a solution.

Ok just so that you guys are aware,

We will be sending out the emails to you all in about 1 week, depending on the numbers involved, Rest assured that IF the EMAIL ADDRESS submitted was correctly entered then you will recieve it!

(1 or 2 of you have registered and supplied invalid Email address')

So if you have not recieved an email 1 week b4 the start of the tournement, i suggest you
Visit the registration page again, and it will highlight those of you who have supplied incorrect or incomplete information

i need some maps where do i get em from the tourney ones

Any maps that you don't have, (assuming you have at least Totomi, Green, and Tami Kochi--these have been used in other tourneys)
can be found at the Tenki home page,
http://tenki.moonfruit.com

go to download section and there will be a small map pack there will tourney maps...
included are maggyorsaggy][, desert, and hachiman hatake.

You may already have one or more of these maps, but might not. An easy way to check is to go to your shogun total war folder-->battle folder-->maps folder and look for the particular maps.

To download, just download and unzip/install into your map folder. I am assuming everyone knows how to do this, but if anyone runs into some trouble, let me know.

We so far have 50 entrants guys!

Unfortunately, only about 30 of the names are easily recognizable from what I have seen. I saw a list of the best 20, and pretty good... but a few noticables are missing...

-I would like to stress the fact that this tourney is about having fun and not just trying to see who is the best. So, if any of you who play online see some of your clanmates, let them know. Also, don't worry about delays, we are very organized on how to host it. --one of the reasons there will be no Tenki's playing. We're all going to be hosting the tourney--
