starting a new clan, everything is great except for one small detail, WE CAN'T THINK OF A NAME.

If you are going for a honorable name think hard. Like my clan though (we play for fun) we have a fun name (Darkside clan)
A good name would be "Chop Yer Ass" clan :P
or "Kick Yer Ass" clan. http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/biggrin.gif

I can advise you to take a name with a lot of futurevalue...

with a taisho u restrict yourself a lot.

legendary daimyos, that is 'bigger' any bigger and it restricts the clan to 1
leader, but there are 2.

With the mongols well on their way what about :-
ClanBunei or BuneiFighters etc ... or :-
ClanGenko or GenkoSamurai.....

both Bun'ei and Genko are references to the Mongol Invasions i think!

no problem, i personally quite like the japanese names, its just that people won't understand them and another certian person (cough lordted cough) doesn't like them

So when people ask where you got the name from you can proundly say, 'I NAME IT MYSELF'. Don't let anyone else naming it! It's your clan, so be yourself! It's important to be unique.
However, I would suggest that you should get a Japanese dictionary and see what is the meaning of what you want to name your clan. I think that the Japanese name is great. Something like Yumei Clan (Yumei means famous) sounds much better than The Famous Clan http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/biggrin.gif
