When you hit send, it asks do you want a read-receipt, and the two choices are "yes" and "cancel". Shouldn't it be "yes" and "no", or is this not in your power to deal with.

It had me confused when I first saw it, I took it as yes to a receipt or cancel the message.

If you want a receipt select Yes if you dont want a receipt select Cancel.

dgb, you are right in that it is a bit confusing until you get use to it. I'm not sure there is anything that can be done about it though.

I believe the structure of the box is a Javascript thing, and there is probably nothing straightforward that can be done to change it.

On the other hand, it is possible to get rid of the popup box entirely, replacing it with a checkbox. This seems to be a very popular small hack (http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=88812&page=2&pp=15). Of course you could just disable read receipts altogether, or set the board to automatically request a receipt, but IMHO a checkbox would be the more elegant solution to this annoyance.

Edit: there is also a hack that allows you to set a Default action for PM Receipts (http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=77953) in your UserCP.
