Now that this particular cat is out of the bag (at least for now)... http://www.twcenter.net/forums/index.php?act=ST&f=60&t=19318&hl=&view=findpost&p=1811967836

...I was wondering, will Bactrian temples include any of Buddhist influence?

They should. After conquering Bactria from the Sakas (which held it only briefly), the Kushans adopted a style which was just that, a combination of Greco-Bactrian art, and Budhist art, the Gandhara style. The region suffered intensive Buddhist missionary activity.

The style incorporated many of the motifs from classical art(both Greek and Roman), including vines, cherubs, tritons, and centaurs; But it featured, of course, the Budhist Indian iconography and fables.
