THE SWARM of RAGE

Rage have decided to have a new clan within Rage....THE SWARM of RAGE.... these players will be seen with the title rageX----(plus name)...they are selected from promising players who wish to continue to grow in playing ability and attitude....

Do not underestimate their skill...although generally newer to the on-line world they also have sharp blades and a sting in the tail.....they are also considered part of the CLAN RAGE...

As part of our birthday (whenever it is lol...in a month or so it seems)...we open this new branch of our Empire....hopefully through our guildance and support Rage can add yet more respected (depending on personel opinion lol), strong and generally well rounded players with this venture.

Those of us who know, understand clan life isnt easy....and recruitment can be hard....to find that player/person who fits into your clan structure...plays your way...holds your values.....some clans have made the mistake often of either grow to quick or taking people who dont function..

Monsta's theory on recruitment:

"you can always make a good player (maybe not always the best).....but you cannot make a good person".

I would say that the other clans who do not employ this system should.....I am sad to see when clans die...(well most of them lol)....grab the youth and newbie now...try and mold them into productive members of our world....(if that fails you could do as I do and just send them on missions of murder :-P)

There is no creature who can survive a swarm of killer bees.....there is nothing that will survive a SWARMofRAGE.

Good idea, to 'train' full Rage prospects until they adapt to the way of life and quality of the clan.

Well, I believe that new recruits with us they will improve automatically as they train and play with us, so I put them in the full clan immediately (after a clan vote on their membership); it gives them some courage too.

First of all , good luck with the new part of clan Monsta.

Say u would recruit a veteran , would he be a Rage right away or go through the RageX process? This thing can work if u attract newbies on a regular bases , as then they will be surrounded with fellow X'es , making them feel fit in. For e.g. Kenchi ( http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/smile.gif) this is not an option , although we do recruit new members from time to time , we aim to integrate them from point one , not place them in an isolated part. But like i said , we can't attract the number of members (nor do we desire to) to make such a division strong.

I think over the time we have been a clan I have had 50-100 people ask to join....mostly newbies who like the name or whatever....and the odd idiot trying to get into the clan to be a noodle..I need not say any names.

I have said many times to the newbies...wait...play for a while..etc..

Our way of recruitment was a long process....the player needed another rage to sponsor them for a test.....then we voted if we should test them.....100% yes was needed.....then we test them...this test would depend on the individual and consisted of different challenges.....but was more of a way we could get to know the person and for them to know us......and finally.if they are still sane..we voted to see if they would join..and again another 100% yes was needed....

Not many newbies will wait.....and sadly they went off to join doomed clans made their own that died..etc......so with the SWARM I hope to be able to put them into a clan structure with support from experienced players. and they will meet some friends..learn the game and the unwritten law of STW on-line.....they are a clan in their own right...they will have a web site made by themselves...a forum....their own private section etc......all I want them to do is listen.....and grow as players.....there will be the odd player who is promoted into our ranks in time..but a few who i hope will want to stay on as SWARM...to bring more quality players through to benefit all of STW.

All this said....it wont be easy..but hopefully worth it....

Oh yes..unlike the original rage we do not have an age cap....younger players are welcome....as well as the old folk out there lol.

I have tried for the last few months to make some kind of friendly contact with your clan..understanding that english isnt the natural language.....

You shame your clan with this type of post and give no reason why others should remove your names off the ignore list.....
