Newbie with some questions....

Greetings noble warriors.

I am new to this forum. I have played single player for a good while now. I recently got a faster internet connection and I now enjoy online play against others.

However when I went on line for the first time last night the room was near dead. I guess I need to upgrade to WE or MI. I am looking to find out which is better in the way of online play. Specifically which one are most people using. I want to play against alot of people so that I can learn different tactics and become a better overall general. I know that the regualar STW is fairly quiet now since the upgrades and would like to know which one I should get.

Now to the second part of my post. Right now I am looking to join a clan. Not immediately but I am starting to put out feelers. Checking out websites discussing it with others online etc. I would like to know in your opinions which clans are good and which I should avoid. If you are already a member of a clan I know that you will say that your clan is the best, however if you had to choose another clan which would it be. Please let me know if there are some bad clans out there that I should avoid.

Your knowlege on this subject is appreciated as mine is fairly limited in this area. Thanks so much for your time. I hope to meet some of you some day on the field of battle.

Regular Shogun is crowded at points and deserted at other times - it depends on what time you go online. Personaly I prefer playing old STW - though with the new patch , the Mongols might be worth the buy. TheForce is right , if you already have regular Shogun , than it is best to get the upgrade - MI.

As to the second post : I am a member of clan Kenchikuka and have been a long time. I won't tell you to join us http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/wink.gif Ok .. which clan would i go for.. Let's see , I'd probably join the Rages or the forming clan lead by Terazawa (former NoFear clan). Those 2 clans would be on the top of my list due to emm.. colorful.. characters , and a good dose of skill.

lol, nice name mongo. I am the Daimyo of the clan "mongrels" which no1 has heard of $£%&*@ even though they have been 67th in rank, or something like that.
