Plans for a new type of tournament...

yup

the wolves are thinking about hosting a tournament without participating themselves...

the basic outline is: clans/groups "jousting" with fixed armies.

each group will consist of 3 (or 5) players and joust like knights until one survive and the other group is slain.

we will provide in a set of balanced armies, lets say 5-10 armies per era (sengo monJAP monMON). when an attacker enters the joust he selects an era and an enemy players joins. both choose a fix army they like and battle.

is this an idea u like? what have to be changed? and will we have at least 8 good groups?

Sounds good Magy...although i see no reason why the Wolves wouldn't participate themselves as there doesn't seem to be any chance for 'interpretation of the rules' problems.

Plus having your hounds around would make for greater competition...

we saw it in tourneys already, if theyre is a prob between a player and an own clanmember

Of course magy you could also do what they call a "swing" tourney -- where there are two tournaments in the same couple fo days...one where your clan participates and someone else acts as host, and one where u host but dont participate.

Just a thought. Maybe I'm thinking too grand.

Magy, can you also include a map-design tourney for the mappers at the same time? Say u use 5 original map, and 15 new maps.
Mappers to submit map designed using x-pack map editor. If more than 15 a panel can narrow down to the best 15. Then after the normal tourney, have the participants rate the maps. The winning mapper is the one with the most points. Simple.

This may generate more interest in playing on new maps as well as acknowledge the mappers contribution to the community.
