(Just a little thing to tell you I'm not a newbie) I just did a team custom battle with 2 other Mongol computer players ( all computer players: expert level) against 3 Jap computer players on Bizen Valley. Final results:
Me: 2530 honour
My allies each: about 1200 honour
My enemies each: about 400 honour

I can't help it! I have to tell you this(even if it is bragging). I did a 4 vs 4 custom battle were we were outnumbered by 3(all comps on expert of course). Final results:
Me: 2455 honour
allies each: about -1250 honour
enemies each: about 800 honour
Call it bragging if you will, but I hope this tells you once and for all that I AM NOT A NEWBIE! Ok?
P.S. Of course we lost the battle, (allies, sheesh) but how can you win if your outnumbered 3 to 1???

The difference between SP and Online is that Online you actually must put some thought into it. I mean, sure you would have to put thought into SP, if you are outnumbered 2 to 1 with inferior troops (I've won this way a couple times http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/smile.gif ). But online you will have to figure out how to win with equal numbers of equivalent troops, against an opponent who actually knows what he is doing. No more bullshit cop-out maneuvers you use on the AI. Try any of those online and you will die. You will have to learn an entirely new set of tactics and learn to make good judgements on ambiguous issues in a split second, while under pressure and without full knowledge of what your opponent is planning (if he's good http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/wink.gif ).
Just warning you, you're gonna get thrashed, at least at first http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/biggrin.gif I know it took me a good 4 or 5 days to even get to break-even beating 2 or 3 out of 5 (maybe 4 on good days http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/wink.gif).
Of course I never played online much and haven't played in a looong time. Ah well, once some of this modding gets taken care of I may be back.

It's always so funny how EVERYONE, including me, thinks they're the BEST TAISHO IN THE WORLD! Because they beat the computer in customs on expert. Buddy, I SUCK. Magy and KOC make me look like a monkey banging on a keyboard, and III Can destroy the computer in the same situations as you.
Regrettably, you will only learn through suffering.
As for wanting to join the wolves...hmm, you do realize..that top to bottom..the wolves are the BEST clan in the game???? I gotta admire the kids gumption though.
May I suggest joining one of the "less stable" clans?

the wolf clan is a good choice but this pack and hunt-orientated structure must suit you.
we had some drop outs and after u have driven a Lamborghini every other car will look like a toymodel...

Guys, I've done a complete strategical overhaul and I believe I've found a formidable and more balanced one. By the way, if I lose but give Kocmoc a good challange will you put me though more tests and train me to improve? On Homeworld, before I commanded my own clan I had to wait forever for someone to come along to help improve my strategies. I don't want to repeat that. After I was improved by someone else I knew what I was looking for and became the best in my clan(hence becoming the leader). I would like that boost if I fail(if I give a good challenge). Please consider.

I think the point is that there are certain trainer clans, and that the Wolves really isn't one of them.

A tips - you can allways ask when your online some of the vets to play some training games..

Good for you Chaguhun Khan! I can't see any reason why you should take heat for simply trying to recruit here + you handled what was said very well, and accordingly once your skills develope I predict you will make a worthy leader. -Good luck in your endeavours!
Agree with K-man. Chagu I wish you best on your endevours , the Wolves are a clan of great caliber and you have shown enthusiasm which is on the long run far more important then "starting skill" , and don't let the fact that Yagyu hasn't improved get you down ( http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/tongue.gif at Yagyu - "veteranize" over a newby and some1 will do the same to you!). Kocmoc is one of the best around but just play natural , in that you have advantage as he will not know your style. Some tips... Never bunch up units on one enemy , and against a wolf , always have some yaris with you , be prepared to face a mobile army and ALWAYS keep an eye on your flank. Hope these tips help you and whatever the outcome may be i hope you find a clan that suits your ambition!

we dont train everyone who coes around, yes this is true.

there isnt any question wich dont got answert.
after games i played i have mostly a little chat to talk about mistakes or my thoughts.
I offerd again trainlessons, but still not 1 wanted it.
many new players dont come to org or dont take the time to read the most stuff.
and again, on www.fearfulways.com (http://www.fearfulways.com) ask a fear u can post ur own ideas or any question...
to the wolves, we arent a demokratie, the
system is quite easy and this make us fast in
any decision. and if we have players wich havnt so much time it doesnt matter.
this is 1 of the mainfacts, why i joined this clan.

Wolves not a trainerclan?
After being dissapointed in the past i personally only focus in limited training for just the people who ask it nicely and show some loyalty towards the game.
young wolves have shown this and therefor i mostly focus on them now. and for what i hear they do well (DRBninja & Nashwan).
Kocmoc is doing great work as well and also DarealRuler had many students (mostly own wolves).
Some clans sent their members to me for some harsh lessons. These lessons arent for free. U must pay by joining a comp game and relative to the challenge u put up in the game u can "earn" hints to improve your style and perthaps return in a week or so.
