The Trivium is proud to release another update of the Cherry Vanilla Pack (CVP). This edition is the end of life (EoL) or final version of the CVP unless of course CA releases another patch or the X-pack is published.

This version fixes the two major patch introduced bugs in the VnV & TnT systems and has a plethora of other adjustments to account for supplementary patch modifications to the basic game system.

For instance:

1) Doubled combat triggers under manual battle(s)

2) Scarface has numerous bugs:

a) battle1 and battle1r give battlescarred to Romans twice

b) the GeneralHPLostRatioinBattle works in one way for manual battles, and differently for autocalc.

c) With default 1.2 settings, manual battles without engagement always trigger battle1 and battle1r.

3) Senate offices: if you get elected twice to the same office, at the end of your mandate you do not have the ex-office trait. This is due to a bug in (office)again triggers giving twice as needed.

4) GeneralFoughtinCombat always returns true, regardless if the general did or did not fight. This causes trigger battle4 never to go off. Might I add this trigger needs revision? If it worked properly and your enemy retreated, you could get the coward trait.

There are numerous other issues of lesser magnitude that have also been addressed. On a final note, many thanks go out to CA for creating the excellent TW series. We hope is some small way our efforts help improve its reputation, credibility and most importantly for the developer side of things, sales.

ahhhhh...so that's what people mean when they mention CVP. much thanks from the non-mod talented unwashed masses.'

BTW, is this the same as player1's "bug-fix (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?p=716695)" mod? Did you folks fix the cavalry archer skirmish thingy?

No, the two are very different. The CVP corrects bugs in the VnV files (ie, character traits) whereas as Player1's bugfixer addresses certain issues within the unit files.

The fix for the horse archer bug in v1.2 was introduced by QwertyMIDX.

QwertyMIDX's horse archer fix (http://www.twcenter.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=21611) - which is included in player1's bugfixer (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=44797)

Actually, I would call CVP to be a VnV mini-mod.

P.S.
Bugfixer, also adresses some VnV problems (Scarface, doubled combat awards bug...), but without going to the relms of moding (for example, both standard 1.2 and saves done with bugfixer are compatible).
