This morning I heard the news in the radio. They said the the commander of Guantanamo adnitted that the Quran was mistreated several times there. Is this news wrong again?

The news isnt wrong but your portrayal of it is. The news was that in a few instances people didnt follow the correct protocol for handiling a Koran. In other words they faile to handle it like a Muslim not that they intentionally desigrated it.
