Playing at Gamespy

I tried to join a game and then to create my own but whenever it loads and goes into the Rome total war multiplayer area of the game, I get an error saying "Login Failed - invalid cd key"?
whats the story there?

Start the game from your RTW CD.
Check that you enter your CD Key exactly as it is on your manual or CDcase.
Letters are lowercase and '0' are zeros not letters.
