some forum post said that you can use Highland Clansmen in Battle Mode you need to
add the icon.
well i add the name of the units to the adf
file and the icon.
when the game load appear as normal peasant?
do you know can activate Higland Clansmen in demo

I just made a MOD using HiglandClansmen

Go and download the "FALKIRK" Battle.

You can check the scottish army file and seehow I introduce the Highlanders so you can make your own MODS.

No need to touch the icons. Because there are no Icons for Highlander Clansmen in the game instead of Icons you will get little black squares in the troop bar, but it is not big deal, your troops in the field work fine and you can play all the same.
