well not really a new map
more like an old one that works

here's the link http://doragonbarocca.homestead.com/files/mtw/a_new_hope.zip

11K

main website is offline at the moment, so if that link does not behave, give it half an hour and try again - it does have a bandwidth limit

It is a Warlords map that behaves with MTW,
it has a few graphical glitches, but it works and it's fun to play Jaffa on.

Hopefully someone who has built a few maps will be able to figure out which tiles to change to what for the Warlord maps,

and this gives us a whole new avenue to explore...

hehe, bar,

i been wondering about that myself. i believe tosa told me he'd tried it too. ah, where's rob and rob's converter when ya need it ;) actually, fixing a map like this would prolly be a fairly easy fix with a hex editor. the structure prolly isnt that complicated for map files. one could then just make another converter, like rob did, and export all of our maps from stw/we/mi over to mtw.

bar,

um, not sure, but i think rob's converter is still listed.

tosa says he tried some maps also and that green didnt work, but aki did, but had some texture problems and that, no, he never made a converter.

if the file structure is close enough that the maps load but dont always display correctly, then i think it would be possible to make a converter for we/mi maps to mtw maps.

ah,
he made a texture tool for stw demo,
(thats what i was thinking of - stw demo)

i hope someone can figure out a conversion for we/mi to MTW mps.
however do try the one above, it is fine enough to play on, and gives the modders a new avenue to explore!
