Due to a few bugs with TFT 1.7 and the subsequent patch we have made a brand installer.
This installer has some new buildings, brand new Traits, slight tweaking of the combat stats, and a refined set of victory conditions. Plus a few other things...

Please note that this version is savegame compatible with 1.7

Announcing: The First Triumvirate v1.7 for Rome: Total War

After much deliberation, we have decided to release a 1.7 version of The First Triumvirate mod. Unlike prior versions, this version will be designed to install directly on a vanilla copy of Rome: Total War patched to v1.2. This allows us greater flexibility in planning and building this and future mods.

The idea behind 1.7 is a "quick" conversion of TFT v1.6 to a vanilla install. This will allow people who have moved on to RTR 6.0 (while keeping a vanilla backup, of course...) and those who have never installed RTR to enjoy the TFT mod while we work on FMOR (The First Man of Rome). Currently, our plan is to wait for the expansion pack to come out and then start building FRRE (Fall of the Republic - Rise of the Empire see https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=51957) as the base mod for all of our future mods; the first mod will start in 107bc and will built on top of RTW: Barbarian Invasion.

Of coures, while this was going to be a "quick" conversion, a few new features slipped in along the way. What a shame... smile.gif

What's new for TFT v1.7:

1. Installs directly on RTW v1.2. No additional mods are needed.
2. Sprites are included for all TFT specific textures.
3. Fixed "Egyptian" temples/revolts in Gaul and Italy.
4. Resolved issues surrounding implemenation of the Client Kingdoms Mod.
5. Fixed some unit skins.
6. Reduced the morale provided by some traits.
7. Incorporated new Parthian and other skins.
8. Added unique victory conditions in-game for each faction.
9. Added in-game enforcement of some "House Rules".
10. Fixed the family trees.
11. Some other surprises that you'll just have to find along the way. smile.gif

Because of the expanded scope of this "quick" conversion, we hope to begin testing next week with an expected public release to occur sometime in the second half of August.

Is it means I can play both 1.7 & 6.0 without installing/reinstalling/ whatsoever if I want to change from one to another ?
