Your Army has deserted,
Your Enemies have taken this oportunity to invade.
Now you must defeat them all!
But before battle can be joined the rains have come.

A fun battle in the rain, watch your men fatigue at an alarming rate!
(Multi Alliance)

You are seriously outnumbered,
You must choose when and where to fight with care.

If you do not 'assist' your enemies to slaughter each other one alliance will be victorious,
but in numbers so overwhelming you won't be able to stop them...

Um we have a problem the mod automaticaly ends in defeat and the screen goes black http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/frown.gif.
I'll try the alternate and tell you if that works or not.

EDIT: The alternate works, but not the original. Better take a look at it.

Just downloaded and tested,
They both work fine here,

we do know that there are 2 seperate 'versions' of the demo,
(I have version 2 - downloaded)

Apparently not only did the red zone change size between them, but there must have been some other changes that i do not yet know about.
perhaps some units changed between the two?

The auto defeat usually occurs when an adf is misnamed or missing.

I do not know how to tell the different versions apart http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/frown.gif
(I think version 1 may be magazine CD)

You could try disabling the AI players one at a time by placing // in front of each Player:: line in the jaffa bdf,
if the game loads properly then the AI you just 'disabled' is the one causing the 'defeat'

If you do try this, and it works please let me know which AI is causing the glitch, and i should be able to deduce which unit is causing it,
(of course there could be 2 ai players causing the problem - i used a mix of units)

But the long and the short,
It works here,
and I have version 2 of the demo

Hmm well I figured it out and it was a little strange. I started up the battle again to make sure it wasn't a fluke and it went black and ended in defeat again. Then I disabled Sir Geoffrey Greystroke and it worked fine. Then I took a look at Geoffrey's adf and couldn't find any misspellings or units that wouldn't work(all the units you used came with icons, so they couldn't have been the problem). Since I couldn't find anything wrong I switched him back on and disbaled captain Miklos. It worked fine again, so instead of going down the list and disabling another I turned them all on and the mod worked fine....
I know its strange. I guess it just needed a kick or something or it may have been do to the fact that I turned off my comp after my first reply and started it up again later. I'm kind of confused on this one. Oh well it seems there are no problems with your mod after all. Good work!

just a wild guess,
you're running windows?
(same here)
windows likes to crash applications and games, every now and again, for no apparent reason,
just to make itself feel superior....
http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/smile.gif

And yes it is a direct expansion of Crucible, with changes to
map/terrain/weather/unit/alliance/start positions/initial force/reinforcements
lol
(in other words it started out as a Hard Crucible, but then I made soooo many changes it became a battle in it's own right)

What we found in Crucible was the AI players belting each other into little pieces,
and the human had an easy time winning IF he can just survive the first 5 minutes.

So for Famine, if you let the AI players hammer away at each other ONE of them will be so superior in numbers at the end that the human will have a very hard time,

so you have to get involved,
Lure AI armies into each others paths,
Pick off stragglers
and whenever you possibly can take out the Generals!!!

If you sit back and watch,
Blue will beat the tar out of Red,
Blue will then get annihilated by Green,
and Human has a big problem,

Ocaissionally,
and this is THE worst case scenario,
Red gets totalled by Green,
Green gets totalled by Blue,
and Human has a very very big problem!

VERY Rare,
Red gets focused on you from the start,
so does Blue,
their concentration on YOU is so intense that they will actually 'forget' to fight each other!
All you can do is try to run for Green, and then hopefully escape from the 3 way pincer movement!

yeah, happened to me too, the site was down for a bit, then it came back up, but i noticed something wrong. the first thing that tipped me off were the large numbers of scantily clad maidens, the second was, well, there wasn't really a second, after noticing the first it was rather obvious.

Really? at first I thought it was a new look, you know, to attract would be clanners, but then I realized "how the hell did a bunch of pasty skinned MTW'ers get a hold of video's like that?".

someone has apparently hijacked the links to web1000 hosted sites,
they have been working on the problem all day,

They had promised to have the links fixed four hours ago...
