GREAT !! I'm starved of siege action right now - too many people making ridiculously huge army mods just to prove how bang up to date their machines are !! and a chance to bash the Welsh also perhaps - even better http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/wink.gif
most of these mods have a lite edition
(half troop numbers)
If you want a lite edition for a mod that does not have one, please ask and we will create it for you
http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/smile.gif
(and my PC is 18 months old, and also has a hard time with most of the mods),
if you check the tech forum for threads about laggy demo - or imporve performance you will find some usefull tips!
BUT,
i am so used to online lag for Warlords/Mongols, that i usually don't notice lag (jerky movement) for the mods unless a flatmate looks over my shoulder and makes a comment...

Draft version one is now complete. I will email/post it out tonight.
I still have a number of things to do to it. Currently I usung the Danish faction as an attacker, made up of Scottish, Danish and irish units. these I need to split out into three differnt factions (But im having problems with adding the new scot and welsh flags).
These units are attacking a castle, which is held by the English (Who will be Normans)
Again you play as the Normans, the Mod is quite hard, and so far the Danes always win, those vikings and Scottish highlanders are one tough bunch of fighters http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/smile.gif
ShadesWolf,
email me detailing problems,
have added them here NP at all...

I like it Shades. Its interesting how your troops fight to the last while in the castle. How do I know this? Well I lost the first, so I was forced to fight to the last http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/wink.gif.

New mod is now complete, it is a castle mod and I have created two version, one as the attacker and one as the defender. Please enjoy
http://www.members.aol.com/ihusselbee/siege.zip
http://www.members.aol.com/ihusselbee/liftsiege.zip
both versions are great fun,
i did like the beta version where an AI ally had control of the catapults though,
- AI players are careless about where they send their rocks - i got wiped out by my ally..

ShadesWolf,
the Kerns unit in your latest mod,
what is it?
(weapon, armour, shield?)
I have created the Highland Clansmen icon, (see the TempDownloads thread,)
And I'd like to create one for your Kerns...

The kern were an irish warrior group, who had spear which they threw in battle

Shade
Tried to play this one, but get the Texture Load error message: Texture File \textures\backdrops\plains\stormy\winter\sky_ft.lbm Failed
Any idea what is wrong ? I placed the files in the Antioch file having backed up the originals.
http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/biggrin.gif
you'll need the backdrop enhancement,
you can try my site, http://doragon.barocca.web1000.com/
go to the medieval section,
then you want the modding section,
then the mods page itself,
The backdrop enhancement merely copies backdrops we have into folders required for displaying alternate weather conditions,
the Demo, naturally, is missing these files
======================
the site will be tidied up soon,
in the process of redesign...

So lets say its around Chester somewhere http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/smile.gif

Just out of historical interest the most southern location reached by the Scots was a place called Swarkestone Bridge, which is in your county Shadey, or just possibly over into Derbyshire - its a long time since I visited there http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/smile.gif
