a question for a novice

I am new to the 'Mod' community, and I would like some information to give me both general and specific information on what I am able to change and alter in MTW. I am very interested in the "Dark Ages" mod being undertaken by some creative individuals who frequent this board. So I'll pose this question to them, or to anyone else who can lend me a hand, or send me in the right direction.

Initially, I would like to have a look at a good, general purpose, overview guide on mod making. Any recommended files out there?

Any basic help would be appreciated

Well........

Once my MOD is released it'll be closely followed by a MOD guide on the Clan Seljuk webpage. Basically the guide will be loads of screenshots showing texts changes etc and will have a description beneath on what I have done.

We haven't written one yet,

So far the majority of modders are still waiting for the game to be released locally,
Lord Krazy only just grabbed his.

As far as Custom Battles go, we have a set of notes available from the Org's medieval files section.

As soon as I have the game I'll begin experimenting, but don't expect me to come up with anything for a few weeks earliest, after all I want to play the game too
