This is for anyone who is editing stat files
such as crusader_prod11.

Please include in your readmes that they
may not be compatable with saved games or
campainges as people who do not know
this might get a bit confused.
I do know that most of you are aware of
this but it helps people to remember
and know why they should backup.

plus you would be surprised the number of people who never come visit us down here in the dungeon,

they are not aware of what we do down here,

although for some of the more timid souls that may not be such a bad thing MwaaHaawHaawHaaHaa

In your ReadMe
Put the warning near the top of the file,
then explain where the file has to go, and what they must backup before they install,

finally explain as concisely as possile what changes you made, and what effects you have noticed onthe game,
then - for those souls who may forgettfull repeat your warning about compatibility with save games

I found it a good idea to include a .bak version of the original file when overwriting something.

.bak more or less tells them what it is and provides a method of restoring the original game. Providing the mod is not 40meg in size it should be easy to do with small files.

I just went back over all the previous unit_prod and build_prod od submissions and added a warning and backups of original files to each one,

file sizes have about doubled,
when i have a few hours to spare i will update the pages to reflect changes in file sizes,

for the moment the latest additions are available from the recent files pages
