This is a non-commercial product based on the computer game "Rome Total War" published by Activision/Creative Assemply. It's purpose is to enhance the gameplay experience of this awarded game and not to be used for any profit creating reason. I have no responsibility for any undesirable effects that maybe noticed by misusing this software. All skin-developers who have allowed me to use their work to create this product and also myself have spent hundreds of hours with no money reward just for
making the TW community and ourselves happier playing this game. Our only demand is that everyone respects this work and does not attempt to use this material for any public export without our written permission. I hope that everyone is satisfied with my effort and I will reply to everyone who has comments or reports of undesired bugs.

---------------------------------------Installation notices------------------------------------------
-Have a fresh Install of RTW
-Patch it to 1.2
-play the prologue just once to unlock it
-Target the installation to extract to your RTW main game folder
(For example C:program filesActivisionRome - Total War)
-ENJOY!!!

Suggestions
-Do not install over a version of a modded RTW game folder.
-Do not use the default installation path but manually browse to find you custom based directory of the game as per example.
-Back up your files if you try to manually mod the DarthMod as per your taste. Problems occur and you shout for bugs that do not exist.
-This version of my mod is tested to play as is. If you want to add other mods in it and anticipate problems, will not be of my responsibility.
-DarthMod_5.8 will not work on top of other mods (like RTR_6.0)
-Do not play old save games of darthmod.(Even those played with darthus_magnus of hector) because they will not function.
-do not play quick battle or will crash
-play only provincial campaign.(Not imperial campaign=will not function any more)
-Play at VH/VH for maximum difficulty.

Also I use almost all the 2d UI icons provided by them. Most 2d Icons are created by myself and also many texture skins are also created by me for example I used Augustus21 skins and skeletons to create new bronze plated phalanx unit and cavalry for Ptolemaic Egypt.

*****Contents of DarthMod_5.8*****

-All aspects of DarthMod_5.3.2 are maintained plus:

1)Mundus_Magnus map version 2 is inserted
2)CVP_1.22 is inserted
3)Did much balance for projectile damage to troops + general battle gameplay. Enormous enhancement to the game due to this.
4)Inserted new DarthFormations_7.0. They include enhanced siege+bridge AI tactics, enhanced skirmishing+missile units behaviour (AI will actually siege human army if it has a good proportion of them before engaging to melee. This happens even to custom battles.).Generally enhanced all the battle system for an even more competitive AI during combat. Also AI missile units will attack with devastating flank projectile attacks the human army in the midst of battle by maneuvering.
5)Fixed a siege bug of MM2 which caused AI to build only siege rams and tunnels.
6)Balanced strategy map income for a balanced and difficult gameplay.
7)Made AI armies to choose even better armies in strategy map.
8)Romans will not build town militia to force them to build powerful scary armies.
9)Inserted new skins for Parthia. Pink color is eliminated.
10)Corrected some sprites and unit icons issues.
11)Historical battles are enhanced and playable with DarthMod now
12)Many more minor things

However, it seems I can´t download it from the link you posted. It´s not available via the twcenter download? I know I can get files from there.

A very good mod so far, I´ve been playing it for some time by now. One thing I wonder about, the formations seem to be spread out very much at the beginning of a battle, and sometimes in somewhat, well, weird organisation (not a single phalanx line, for example, but some phalanx units i the first line, together with some other melee units and then some more phalanxes behind that). But all the new units are great, they add a lot diversity, even though I don´t like the new roman skins at all.

Got a CTD today in the year 187BC during the turn to the next year on the Seleucid icon or the one after it. Don't even know where to begin but looking for it. Great mod, by the way. Awesome skins and textures. I am more engrossed in the game.

Correction; with regard to the turn of the carthaginians did the CTD take place. I am playing the Greeks. No modifications made............

Thanks for your words. The CTD may happen if you quicksave too often.
Try only to manually save. This is a CA bug.
If you used the show_err command in exe icon you will probably take a note of what caused it.

Oh, it's nothing like out of ordinary. It looks pretty I just mean it's not like a totally different game (something like Blue Lotus) like I thought it would be. Looks pretty neat, especially some of those fully gold phalanxs.

Oh, and thank you for putting helmets on the Spartans. So much better...

Darth: I noticed you raised the average morale level pretty much, compared to the stock game. Often as not, units fight almost to the death before routing, on occasion I had them hack it out until only two men were left.

Hello, fellows....I'd like to know something: when I get BI, I'll reinstall RTW, and then apply BI, so I'll have RTW updated to 1.3.

Could I install DarthMod then? Is DarthMOd compatible to RTW 1.3?
