View Full Version : Does anyone know how to mod artillery ammo?

Or if it can even be done?

I guess that artillery was given very limited ammo for multi-play balancing, but when you’re trying to conduct a castle siege it’s ridiculous. I had 8 mortars, and ran out of ammo after knocking down just 2 walls! http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/frown.gif

Can this be altered? If so, what values do I play around with?

You might want to take a look at my Editing FAQ which is currently hosted at GameFAQs. It teaches you how to edit each and every unit in the game by yourself (without hacking skillz).

Yeah, I'm pretty familiar with editing units, but editing projectile information is a whole different kettle of fish. Unfortunately, it's been confirmed by one of the developers that ammo amounts cannot currently be modded. However, the information is being transferred to a txt file for the patch.

You can mod the amounts of ammo in unit stats file, but not what the projectiles do in terms of range damage etc..
First patch should allow us to mod Naptha throwers to throw the length of a map http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/biggrin.gif

Where is your editing guide? I can't find it among the files here.
