When you all get around to doing new maps, perhaps an interesting one would be the area covered by that old standard, Castles II - man if that game had the combat/sieging of MTW it would be incredible!! It had early FMVs and it had an option for 'choices' like your neighbor offers you a choice of daughters or you get a call for help from the Pope or the Holy Roman empire and if you fulfill it you get a big bonus - or you could be on a wild goose chase! Really made things interesting also because the choices were not one time things but could happen and progress over time. Remember that game?

Anyways, the scale is just right - LOTS of small regions in one major land area w/c were also used to represent major cities like Calais, Orleans, Toulouse, Nevers, Rouen, Reims, etc. And you had the option to tribute a territory to the Pope as papal territory ala Avignon. If only it had the battles of MTW...

I'm thinking perhaps, Central and Southern England and Wales and all of France to the borders of the HRE and the Alps to Navarre and Aragon.

Here's to Hundred Years TOTAL War.
