i have found a way to remove all of the gamespy logos from the chat room... if there are no objections from forum mods i will post how.

u mean the pics which are somewhgere in thegamefolder and can be replaced by a smaller sizeless one?

the awnser is to replace the current .bif's with transparent ones with the same name.. just deleating them will cause game to crash when you click on internet games. u can either change them yourself of use the ones i made. they can be found here (http://www.totalwar.org/upload/MTWbeta/powered_by_gamespy_web.zip) for now. but this is just the test files section here at the org, so temperary... hopefuly they will be added release version downloads soon.

I'm slightly stunned that you hate GameSpy so much that you can't abide to see its logo. Is this really what this is about?

i personaly have nothing against gamespy, as a matter of fact ive always supported them in the foyer when people bad mouthed them... there service is a million times better than ea ever was, but i never did like that glaring logo on the screen.. i didnt go looking for this but happened to find it so i shared it... its an option thats all.. if you would like to make it so you cant remove the logo have the chatroom check the filesize of the grapic on load.
