Welcome to the the first release of my mod for Rome Total War, Europa Reformata. The aim of this mod is to make factions more historically accurate, as well as solve some game-play issues and create better unit balancing, and also concentrate more on factions strengths and weaknesses.

Britannia:

The British are a war-like peoples, and many powerful tribes have united to from Britannia. Their whole society is based on war, and their soldiers are practically fearless on the battlefield. They have some of the strongest infantry in the game, and the very noise of their swift charioteers can make enemies turn and flee in terror. These are truly a great peoples, but can they battle with rival tribes and then still have the strength to stop the might of Rome?

Catuiros:

https://img292.imageshack.us/img292/9639/warband5ml.th.jpg (https://img292.imageshack.us/my.php?image=warband5ml.jpg)
These are men called to war by their tribal chieftains and kings. They are decent warriors, a tough life has made them resilient soldiers on the battlefield. But the are after all untrained, so will flee if things start to go wrong, and can even be impetuous, as glory on the battlefield will earn them riches in barbarian society.

Botroas:

https://img292.imageshack.us/img292/8402/swordsmen2fu.th.jpg (https://img292.imageshack.us/my.php?image=swordsmen2fu.jpg)
These are the standard infantry of the British tribes, and are solid soldiers in battle, having had some prior experience. These swordsmen are naturally skilled, and their weapons are of good quality, but their lack of training and discipline can make them impetuous and not always fight in the most organised manner. These warriors are however, good value, and will form the backbone of most British armies.

Goidil Botroas:

https://img100.imageshack.us/img100/807/goidilswordsman5fy.th.jpg (https://img100.imageshack.us/my.php?image=goidilswordsman5fy.jpg)
These warriors come from the Goidil tribes of Hibernia. They are perhaps more similar in culture to Iberians than their fellow British tribes, but they still have the ferocity of other British warriors. Goidil Swordsmen are medium infantry, and can soften up enemies before melee combat by hurling javelins at them. These are amongst the most disciplined warriors available to British Warlords.

Caledonii Gaesetae:

https://img418.imageshack.us/img418/1274/fanatics9nw.th.jpg (https://img418.imageshack.us/my.php?image=fanatics9nw.jpg)
These warriors are from the highland tribes of Caledonia. They are utterly fearless in battle, and care more about taking enemy heads than keeping their own safe. They wield great swords into battle, but a shield is their only form of protection, as they prefer to cover themselves in woad dye rather than wear armour.

Champions (still to be translated):

https://img407.imageshack.us/img407/8728/champions9sa.th.jpg (https://img407.imageshack.us/my.php?image=champions9sa.jpg)
These men are incredibly skilled swordsmen, amongst the finest infantry available to any Warlord. They have proven themselves in battle many times before, and are honoured both in society and on the battlefield for it. These men are resilient soldiers, unlikely to flee unlest in the direst of situations. Their skill can go to their heads, however, and Champions may charge without orders.

Woad Gaesetae:

https://img83.imageshack.us/img83/2778/woad6xi.th.jpg (https://img83.imageshack.us/my.php?image=woad6xi.jpg)
These are fanatical warriors, and enter an almost berserker-like rage on the battlefield. They are armed with great clubs, but choose to wear no armour, instead preferring woad dye and a bear skin. These warriors are completely fearless on the battlefield, and don't care at all for their personal safety. These warriors are also extremely tough, and have excellent stamina, and can even survive when stabbed by a sword.

Draoithe na Mona:

https://img83.imageshack.us/img83/9379/druids4on.th.jpg (https://img83.imageshack.us/my.php?image=druids4on.jpg)
The island of Mona was a small remote land off northern Wales. It was inhabited by druids fleeing the Romans, and these Druids were amongst the last of their type to survive the Romans. These Druids are good fighters, and are well armed, but they are best used to stand behind the main battle lines and chant, as this inspires nearby friendly soldiers.

Goidil Gaesumuiros:

https://img407.imageshack.us/img407/1781/goidilspearmen2th.th.jpg (https://img407.imageshack.us/my.php?image=goidilspearmen2th.jpg)
These are very tough spearmen, and the most disciplined warriors available to British Warlords. They are deadly, particularly to cavalry, and as long as they hold formation they are nearly invincible behind their walls of spears and shields. These warriors are also tough veterans, and are unlikely to flee, especially if the hold formation.

Loachras:

https://img448.imageshack.us/img448/422/peltasts6kv.th.jpg (https://img448.imageshack.us/my.php?image=peltasts6kv.jpg)
These are the younger warriors from the tribes, designed to support the warriors in battle by hurling javelins at enemies from behind the main battle lines. These men have still to proove themselves in battle, so they can be impetuous, and are quite ill-disciplined.

Goidil Bagaudas:

https://img291.imageshack.us/img291/558/goidilskirmisher5fv.th.jpg (https://img291.imageshack.us/my.php?image=goidilskirmisher5fv.jpg)
These are skirmishers from the Goidil tribes of Hibernia. They are reasonably well armoured, and are useful for supporting the main warriors in battle. These men are also more disciplined than the other barbarians, but their lack of battle experience means they may flee if in trouble on the battlefield.

Uiros:

https://img291.imageshack.us/img291/7670/slinger5xt.th.jpg (https://img291.imageshack.us/my.php?image=slinger5xt.jpg)
These are basic slingers, ideal for skirmishing and harassing enemies. They are however, especially important to British tribes, as they are the only ranged unit available to them. Uiros can be effective when allowed to skirmish and harass enemies, but will inflict few casualties against heavier opponenets.

Icenii Chariots (still to be translated):

https://img275.imageshack.us/img275/9914/icheniichariots4ak.th.jpg (https://img275.imageshack.us/my.php?image=icheniichariots4ak.jpg)
The Icenii were expert charioteers, and chariots were not exclusive just to nobles. Icenii Chariots are rode by standard warriors, and can be just as deadly as any other chariots. The very noise of these terrible vehicles can make enemies turn and flee in terror!

Noble Chariots (still to be translated):

https://img275.imageshack.us/img275/1258/noblechariots8yx.th.jpg (https://img275.imageshack.us/my.php?image=noblechariots8yx.jpg)
These chariots are ridden by Nobles, and the riders are both disciplined and skillfull. A well timed chariot charge can wreck enemy formations. These chariots are also tough, as their riders wear chain mail armour. Chariots are truly feared on the battlefield, as both the vehicles blades and the riders swords can slaughter unorganised opponents.

And these are the unit cards for the mod:

Hope you like my mod, please give me all your opinions.

BTW, how do I put skins from photoshop up for download with the rest of this mod?

This is my kind of mod. It changes a factin in the game that was pretty "weak" to begin with, and adds lots of different and interesting units.

Can't wait for the download.
