Nah, the release data will be universal. If anything, I find pre-orders arrive a little later than if I just pop down to the local store on the day.

The release dates of Internet Stores are rarely correct. Amazon had Rome pegged at June 2004:laugh4:

And it was released September/October, that's not that far off...
But it's a long time when you're waiting for a game.. :wall:

I remember when RTW was announced for Fall 03.... yeah, like THAT was going to happen. >_>
But seriously, by what I've heard and seen from so far, this release date may happen. Though I am sounding a lot like I did 3 years ago, which is scaring me.
Woot for play.com though. They're usually accurate with release dates and delivery dates.

It beats me why they gave an actual date instead of autumn/winter
oh well, it does at least look like it really will be released in 06 which is a good thing.

Pre-Ordered. ~D
I can't keep away from TW games. Especially when MTW2 promises a huge amount of modding for me.

Amazon UK says it WILL be released on July 1 :dizzy2:
A bit optimistic maybe, but we can hope!

July 1st would be nice - start of Summer Holidays:2thumbsup: :balloon2:
Not meaning to be sarcastic, but why is the SRP so low? $35? RTW was $50 wasn't it?
Nevermind, just noticed it's in pounds, which works out to like $56 US. Feh. Even the pre-order deal is like $40. For me at least, that's not low enough to buy sight-unseen, especially after RTW.

Because it's made in Australia, our currency being, apparently, worth little compared to the British pound.
How come when I look at the non uk (regular .com) I cannot find MTW2, is it because its releasing in the UK first?

I personally dont mind waiting for a game on the basis that the extra time will help in increasing the quality of the game.
I predict september, all Totalwar games seem to be released this time, and this must mean the developing schedules are routine for CA...

The Sega website says release date:Winter 2006
Well October seems like a date that is more reliable.
July is way too soon and is a time when many people are actually outside instead of playing games.
But october is closer to christmas and makes more sense.
Unfortunately I won't pre-order. While I love the TW games and MTW2 looks wonderful, I'm right now out of cash and have no idea when I will get some.

I might pick it up during Christmas. When stores start marking down the prices temporarily. I almost never buy a game at around the time it comes out. I didn't buy Rome until Christmas 2004 either, it was 20 percent off when I brought it.
