Apologies for going off-topic - but would anyone here like to join in a Play-by-Email campaign (as Rome in Rome Total Realism)?

For those of you who don't know, they are what goes on in the Throne Room. The idea is just to play a single player campaign, but to pass the savegame on down a list of players, with each player taking a 20 turn stint. Normally, we produce after action reports but this time, we are thinking of something a little more interactive - having all participants form a Senate that helps guide the incumbent player. Ideas are being discussed here:

https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?goto=newpost&t=64791

What I am looking for are people who (a) want to play a 20 year stint; and/or (b) just want to sit in the Senate and help oversee things. The time commitment will not be large - just pop in to the throne room once or twice a week; or if you want to play a stint, volunteer at a convenient time.

If you are interested, post in the thread linked above. If you can't post in the Throne room (e.g. junior members?), post an expression of interest here and I'll find a way to give you access (e.g. ask the admins to open up the room to junior members).

Could you elaborate on this a little but more? I am a junior member, though not really aware that there was a difference between Junior, normal, and senior members. Could you provide a few more details? I am completley new here as you might of guessed.

Ahhh...I would join it if
a) My parents let me have more time to play RTW
b) If it weren't RTR
and c) If I was bored waiting for M2: TW

Seeing as I qualify for none of these, I'll pass.

Have a look at the second post in the thread which I gave a link to - it starts off with an outline of the concept and then goes over all the nitty gritty of the rules.

It may seem overwhelming, so the best thing to do is see what it looks like in practice:

Here's our first Consul report:
https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=64989

And here's the thread showing the in-character Senate discussions:
https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=64954

BTW: Junior members can now post in the Throne Room. The "Why can't I post in..." thread in the Entrance Hall explains the distinction between junior members and others - it's a transitional status that is used to stop spammers etc flooding the forums.
