There are some nice new screens at 3DGamers if you klick here (http://www.3dgamers.com/screenshots/games/medieval2/).
Under downloads there are two packages in super res (5000 X 3750 I read), but on public servers it´s taking me ages to download...:juggle2:

Gothic knihgts (on shield is HRE coat of arms) and infantry aslo have some kind of mace or ?

And another unit with mace as weapon. I will say that those cavalry is Ghulam bodyguards (Turks are defenitely).

I think they are axes - the edge is pointing away from the camera, so they look kinda like maces.

I'm more impressed by the infantry man at the far right, he is screaming and you can see it.:balloon2:
Also if you look even further down from him you can see what weapon the infantry are using(an axe btw).

Sorry to sound dumb again, but does anyone know the faction colours so I can tell which factions are in the screenshots.
I already know England is Red with the white cross but how come know that is switched?

Anyone else slightly bothered by the lack of blood on the weapons themselves? The blood effects are a cool addition but if it only effects the men and not the weapons it sorta loses its novelty.

hmmm It would be yet more detail. For those of us with iffy graphics chips it certainly wont help. Plus it would make it kind of violent (well, its violent anyway but the addition of blood effects will make it seem like CA has become a bit sadistic in recent times).

But... haven't seen any winter, snow, fog or rain in these screenshots... why?

There has been mist in an older screenshot of a battle between the Scots and the English.

Haven't seen any winter pictures.

I have seen rain but it was in a video, besides it didn't seem to have any effect on the units (muskets could fire, fire arrows were abundant and kept burning)

My guess is that those weather effects are scarce in the screen shots because they hinder the view and not because they won't be in the game. Although I have my doubt whether or not the weather will have effect on the battles or not. A pity really as it makes for more interesting battle plans and more diverse tactics.

The pics look great, cnt wait for the game. I hope they include scotland as a playable faction it'll be great to fight the real scots rather than just scot rebels

this is what you'll see most of the time.

You won't see the action up close because:
1. The battle is moving too fast. If you stop to watch, you'll lose.
2. Camera won't allow you to go to those nice positions, ie just above the grass or up to their face.
