Are some of those units carrying torches? How does that work? Is there a special torch unit that you get, or do some units just automatically carry them when the map is dark?

that's the BI night battle feature prometheus implented

Huh! So, in campaign, we can have night battles? How does that work? Does it go to night if we delay the battle long enough while we're ordering our formations?

Works like in BI , if your general has a night battle trait he may want to try a night assault , the same can be said for the enemy....
