What does it do?
This mini-mod allows you to fight campaign battles actually in and around the proper Wonder structures instead of only being able to see them from afar.

How does it work?
Using the method of inserting custom battlefield tiles in the campaign map as developed by Myrddraal, it uses a different custom tile at each Wonder location.

How big is it?
Approx. 42 meg

Mod compatibility
I do not have copies of any of the major mods on my computer so I am unable to tell whether it is compatible with any of them. Aside from a small change in descr_strat, the files this mod changes are not often altered by mods which are not full-conversion mods. If you'd like to know if a mod is compatible please see further down this post.

Install instructions
1) Download wonders.zip
2) Install using the Mod-Switcher (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=50164) - easy installation and uninstallation of RTW mods!
Ensure you include map.rwm as a file to delete.

Alternatively, take the contents of the zip's Data folder and paste them into your own Data folder. The files in the zip will then overwrite the relevant files within your own Data folder. Ensure you make manual back-ups of your initial versions first, otherwise you may end up having to delete and reinstall the game. Ensure you delete map.rwm from the data\world\maps\base\ folder before launching the game.

Commentary
This mod is the culmination of the extended consultation period after the beta release. There are many different ways that it could have been done, but I consider that this approach strikes the best possible balance within the restrictions of the game.

Features are as follows:
- Custom battles for all Wonders
- All Wonder bonuses have been retained
- All vanilla resources have been retained
- Six of the strategy map Wonder icons have been retained (missing one is the Colossus of Rhodes, however this is now integrated (appropriately) within the port of Rhodes rather than being on a hillside somewhere)
- The proper battlemap models for all the Wonders have been used and will be visible on the battlefield
- The larger Wonders (pyramids, gardens, temple) are visible from adjacent tiles, the smaller ones are not.
- The larger Wonders tile is still inaccessible, however the tiles of the smaller ones have been opened up so battles can be fought on the very tile.

In terms of coding, I consider this version final. What I do not consider final are the actual battle maps which the Wonders are on. I'm not particularly adept with the Battle Editor and have just placed the battlemap models down accordingly.

So if anyone would like to develop a more historically authentic and aestically pleasing version of any of the Wonder battlemaps, I would be more than happy to include them in a revised version.

Thanks as ever go to CA, the Org modding community and Myrddraal for discovering the custom tile method which was the only way this mod could be accomplished.
