Ok I foudn this folder and deleted it as it was empty. Anyway my system functioned the same except event veiwer would just show a log that some applcation had an error. After a bit of googleing I found out it was not needed just that event veiwer would moan like it has been doing. I then decided to recreate the fodler thansk to event veiwer as I like a log free system. And as you would guess it stopped event veiwer reporting an error. Anyway I was just wondering if any tech guys know what exactly are ComPlus applications are? That's the only thing I couldnt find out.

Thanks

Component Object Model. (COM)

Component Object Model Plus. (COM+)

Distributed Component Object Model. (DCOM)

Microsoft .NET Framework

Basically it's an application platform. DirectX is also based on COM.

Check the webopedia of wikipedia for more basic descriptions. Or look at this: http://whatis.techtarget.com/definition/0,289893,sid9_gci211825,00.html
