I've been using this little trick for months now, and it seems selfish not to share it with others and help out a bit.

You ever get fed up of websites that you only need once and they ask you to register with an email address and surely will send you spam for a lifetime?

Your problems are solved: Mailinator (http://mailinator.com/mailinator/index.jsp)

:2thumbsup:

It's a "personal disposible email account" perfect for those not-so trustworthy sites that ask for email.

It's quite easy to use, just read the FAQ (http://mailinator.com/mailinator/faq.jsp).

By the way, as any good thing, this can be abused...so don't...

*Firefox also has a "temporaryinbox" extension available, but the name just sounds worse than Mailinator...

Darn it, man! You are a year late! My one and only and particularly crucial (long distance connections purpose -- it's hard to maintain contact with lifelong friends from another continent) E-Mail address has already been given to so many dangerous sites it's not even funny...

Ah well! Thanks for sharing, and I'll be sure to use it next time!

Also usefull, but it works a little differently: http://www.link2mail.net/

Unfortunately it seems to be in French (or Italian) only (the little English flag icon didn't work on my PC). But it works quite well: just enter your real e-mail, and it'll give you a new 'spam' account. In the right drop-down menu you can select how long you want the forward link to be active (going from 1 hour to 30 days). After that the link will be broken and the spam will no longer be forwarded to your real e-mail address.
I used it most of the times I needed to enter my e-mail. Unfortunately sometimes I forgot to generate the temp mailbox so I still receive quite some spam mails :skull:

I use the Yahoo mailbox. No need of this for the moment.
