This thread is to add more information about warfare, architecture, office titles etc useful to represent Iroquis faction (if it appears) and other tribes to make them useful and dangerous rebels and mercenaries.

Fists I will quote myslef from the MTW VI sub-forum:

I have made extensive research and believe I have most of the data required to add the Iroquis to the game.

Of course it was tribal army so no real professional force was created, but warriors banded together , some were armed better, some less etc.

The Iroquois roster from the patched MP for PMTW 1.5 is good enough, but some additional images for the MTW2 are still necessary.

Here are those I founsd most useful:

Note the small number of any metal weaponry or anything from metal in general.
Native Americans used little armour, but the Huron warrior wears the wooden armour used in pre-musket period by better warriors.

Natives were mostly armed with clubs, bows etc, but also spears and shields. More research has to be done to define the shape of the shield of course.

Later warriors - musket was adopted to such extent that bowmen became rare in some communities.

See that still the famous tomahawk wasn't very popular. Various clubs were easier to get and some of those were real works of art.

So basically we need more data about Native shields - of course the Woodland Indians used most likely different than the one from Central N.America - most likely from wood with leather surface.:book:

More threads like this will be started, fortunatelly many areas of research are already covered thanks to the MTW VI project.:2thumbsup:

I have found two pretty good images:

1. the warclub from a different angel

and (finally !:balloon2: ) the image of an American Native armed with spear and shield - so perfect for the mod.

I don't know if anyone can confirm the way it is shown, but it seems reasonable.

If you have better information please post it.:book:

Seems reasonable. I only looked at the pictures though (I think I have ADD). The spear might have been used for hunting and/or earlier times (such as the start date of MII:TW) The war club was definetely still being used at the time of introduction of European firearms. (I don't know if this is a full map of North America) But the Plains Indians would use bows and arrows alongside single shot rifles, the Easterwoodlands Indians would used hatchets, tomahawks and war clubs alongside flintlock muskets, as there wasn't much penetration into the interior of North America at the time the other muskets were being used, wheel lock, match lock, another one and finally the famous and longest used one, the flintlock. Will be cool mod though dude. :coffeenews: Huh, it aint easy being greazy... :wall: Too many f-ed up problems, you know, pedigree?
