The demo makes reference to symbols for 24 factions, as follows:

2 (normans and saxons) are presumably for the Norman Invasion campaign - but this in and of itself - is intriguing because it may well therefore allow us to have additional factions (or at least faction symbols) in other campaigns. Hopefully, we will be able to add more of these campaigns in the same way as provincial campaigns - though it is more likely the Norman Invasion will be as the Sons of Mars campaign in RTW.
