Hello,

I've uploaded the replays from yesterdays games.
From the readme:

These Multiplayer replays are intended to be viewed with:
Shogun Mod beta_5 for Medieval:TW/Vi and
Samurai Wars stats 11b

The battles were fought on 22nd October 2006 on
Ulus of Orda, a map from the Multiplayer Mappack1-3.

Players:

Hunter_Tomisama
MizuCBR
MizuTosaInu
MizuYuuki
Ras al Ghul

When experiencing technical difficulties, please refer to the forums of Totalwar.org.

The .vrp replay files need to be copied into Main folder\SaveGames\Battles

The additional required files have been added for your convenience.
Projectiles.txt and STW_10_unit_prod.txt go into the main folder of Shogun_mod.
smap_5.txt goes into Main folder\campmap\startpos

(fL)_O_Ulus of Orda.inf and (fL)_O_Ulus of Orda.jjm go into Main folder\Savemaps

I've also included the logfiles for reference.
They're to be stored in Main folder\Logfiles

(fL)_O_Ulus of Orda.inf and (fL)_O_Ulus of Orda.jjm have to go into Main folder\Battle\Maps because that's where the map was located when the battle played and that's where the replay is going to look for it. If you put the map in \Savemaps, you'll just get the generic map that's internal to MTW, and the replay won't play out properly.

Hypothetically, if two players have the map in different directories, one in \Savemaps and the other in Battle\Maps would they desync?

And for future reference, this is what you need for correct replay of replay files:
- replay files
- startpos
- unit_prod
- projectiles
- map files in correct folder

No. The joiner would get the "incompatible" message, and be unable to join. The same behavior as not having the map at all.

I'll see what I have for beta8 1v1 replays, and I could play some 1v1 with Masamune this week and post them. I don't remember if the unit stats are the same in beta7, but they might be the same. Replays won't play back correctly if the unit stats are different.

Hello,

The beta7 stats are slightly different. But you could install the beta7 unitstats and the startpos (which needs to be swapped with the beta8 for best results) and beta7 replays will play correctly in beta8.

http://www.totalwar.org/tosa/Tomi.zip is a beta7 replay. The only thing you need to do before installing this, is to make a backup of campmap/startpos/Samurai_Wars_ MP.txt, you need to copy that one back if you want to play/watch beta8. Then just install Tomi.zip to your rootdirectory.
