Well the other game ended kinda quick so I start this one now. Completely different.

I decided to ditch the Nightless idea because it could be problematic and trying something fancy ended last game pretty quick.

24 hours for night, 24 hours for voting. Inactive players killed by mod.

Roles:

3 mafia, one of which is a godfather and appears innocent to detective. 1 kill per night.
3 masons, one of which is a detective
1 Serial Killer (appears innocent)
1 Vigilante (1 shot)
1 Doctor (can't protect same person more than 2 nights in a row)

AggonyDuck was walking down the street on his own two feet, as he walked he sang, he passed an alley then BANG he fell dead with a bullet in his head.

Reenk Roink was skinny dipping during the night. He came back to shore and started dressing himself. Tinky Winky walked up to him and tapped him on the shoulder. Reenk turned around and saw him and then *decapitated by axe*

EMFM got back home from a hard days work. He kicked back, put the television on, spent some quality time channel hopping, and taking swigs from a bottle of Penn Weizen ale.

After an hour or two, his stomach started to gurgle, "Bah, lets see what we have in the old fridgeo", he said to himself. He walked into the kitchen opened the fridge and looked inside. "Thats odd....whats a cucumber doing in there?"

"It's waiting for Emperor Tiberius to come and collect him", said a growling voice behind him. Suddenly EMFM found himself on the floor with a dark shadowy figure looming above him. With incredible speed the intruder reached inside the fridge, plucking the cucumber with ease, and began to beat EMFM into a bloody pulp.

The last thing EMFM saw was the dark shadow of his killer taking a nibble from the end of the cucumber.

Kagemusha was busily preparing dinner for his family, when he heard some commotion outside. He walked to his front window and peered out. Nothing.

"Ah...what the hell" mumbled Kagemusha, as he slipped on his shoes to go and take a look outside. He walked to the end of his drive, and looked around. Still nothing.

Just as he was about to turn back and go back into his house, he heard a slight swooshing sound. He peered into the sky, and saw a green object flying towards him. A Cucumber. Kagemusha reacted too slow and the cucumber went straight through his mouth, and came out through the back of his neck, killing him instantly.

A man dressed in black jumped from Kagemushas roof, walked up to his body, and took a nibble from the end of the cucumber.

"Kage...you were a pain in the neck"

He grinned and ambled away into the darkness.


Orb was out walking his dog, when the dog suddenly scented something. It growled towards a small bush at the side of the road. Tinky Winky wearing a tutu suddenly jumped out from behind the bush and exclaimed “Peek-a-boo! *chuckles*” Orb, startled as he was, gave his piece of mind to this obviously crazy person. “Uh.oh … Bad man, Bad Doggie” replied Tinky Winky before hurling two spiked Tubby toasts, killing both Orb and his dog.

Craterus was out and about during the early hours when he saw a large purple and fluffy person strolling down the street towards him.
Craterus tried to avoid this strange creature but it effectively blocked the street.
The creature blinked with its large eyes and spoke: “’ello. I’m Tinky Winky. Whe’ is Po?”

Tinky Winky put his red bag on the ground and pulled out a large red contraption with wheels. “Po’s scoota… ‘old this” He said handing the bag to Craterus.

Tinky Winky jumped on the scooter and wheeled away exclaiming: “Bye bye.. Bye bye” *chuckles*.

Craterus stood there not knowing what to make of this when suddenly the bag started to ring… puzzled by this he opened the bag and looked in.
A large pile of TNT sticks rapped up with duct tape and an old fashioned alarm clock that seemed to be wired to the sticks lay at the bottom of the bag. He tried to throw it away, but it was too late. A blinding flash was all his retina captured before … nothingness.

We can also see that Tinky Winky adopted the cucumber method, I would guess the one who killed Ignoramus was Tinky Winky because it was not as creative as the second kill.

Husar was reading his morning newspaper, when he heard the postman put some letters through the door. "GAH, not more bills!" shouted Husar.

He slowely ambled towards the front door, to see an odd envelope covered in what looked like red paint. Husar picked it up, and moved his fingers across the red encrusted envelope. "Is this blood?" he thought to himself.

Tearing at the edges a small note fell out from the envelope.

It read...

"Tinky Winky is waiting for you in the garden"

"Eh?! Who the hell is tinky winky?!" Husar..slightly bemused, laughed to himself. "Must be my friends playing a practical joke"

Husar jogged into his garden with a big grin on his face, almost happy to have his friends jump out on him. "I know you out there guys!"

"No its just me" said a voice

Husar spun round to see a dark figure striding up behind him with a cucumber raised above his head.

"What the?!"

*Smack*

Blood poured from Husars shattered skull, killing him almost instantly.

The dark figure looked at Husars lifeless corpse, tilting his head to one side.

"You wont be speaking badly against me again son."

The killer walked off, while taking a small nibble from the end of the cucumber.

"Another down, not many to go"



Divine Wind was out and about in the early hours of this morning, he wondered if there had been any murders this night.
He had just spent the last two hours rehearsing the katas needed for his seventh level black belt and needed some fresh air. If this killer could just pick him one night, the killings would have stopped, because Divine Wind was sure he could have kicked this excuse for a rotten cabbage, no cucumber, back to the compost where it belonged.

Walking along the beaches of this beautiful small town smiling to himself thinking of the repertoire he would unleash on such an encounter Divine Wind didn’t notice the figure standing in the shadow of a small hut on the beach watching him.

“So, if isn’t our little karate kid out taking a breather from his homework”, the shadow growled. Divine Wind leaped round and was already considering 10 different moves to take out the one addressing him. The shadow stepped out on the beach and was holding a large cucumber. Divine Wind replied: “It’s you. I guess you have come here to kill me? It will not happen; your killing days are numbered.” The shadow moved slowly towards Divine Wind, shifting his green weapon from hand to hand.
Divine wind was absorbed in watching this shadowy figure and for any tense muscles revealing a sudden strike that he never noticed the other shadow that came up from behind. Divine Wind realized something was wrong when he felt a stab in his back and saw something protruding from his chest. It seemed like a … no it couldn’t be.
Divine Wind went limp like a sack and hit the ground face down.
“Well congratulations”, said the shadowy figure with the cucumber. “Your first kill, how was it?” The other shadow pulled a carrot from the back of Divine Wind, dried some blood from it on his sleeve and took a bite. “If this is all the resistance they will put up, it will be a piece of cake finishing of the rest”. Both of the shadowy figures looked at each other and started laughing hard.

I'll most likely be killed next round, so I might as well make it worthwhile. I am the Masonic Detective, and my fellow Masons (RIP) are Kagemusha and Husar.

Sadly, all my investigations were innocent.

The grunts come up as guilty. The Serial Killer and Godfather come up as innocent.

The mafia can't kill the Serial Killer. The Serial Killer can kill the two mafia grunts but not the Godfather. My estimate is that one of the grunts were taken out either by the kills or the execution, which leaves us with three baddies.

Most likely the Tinky Winky killer is not a native English speaker, and the cucumber killer is. Keeping that in mind, it's most likely that Crazed Rabbit (innocent, I know) is the cucumber killer as well as our Godfather. My choices for Tinky Winky/Serial would either be Dutch_guy or doc_bean.

Right now, let's take the Godfather out. It's a perfect alibi for a Rabbit to use cucumbers (as well as mention it numerously) instead of carrots.

It seems to me that the turning point was the night there was only one kill. Maybe they both targeted the same player, maybe the doctor saved someone's life. We will probably get some answers when this game is over.
I am sure some of the real masons would have spoken out by now if your story was a lie.

Agreed. It followed a little too quickly on the heels of the original Black Hand, so not as many people signed up, and some of the usually active players were absent. Also, it coincided with the immensely popular Godfather 2.

When discussion is this low, the mafia almost always win, and it seems quite likely that that's what will happen here.

Yes, I think in future it might be a good idea to take an example from me, Komm and GH and make the games very story oriented. These are the games people just seem to enjoy most. I thoroughly enjoyed Komm's game and GH's, but have always felt something lacking in games where the stories are short or even not present.

Crazed Rabbit was quite drunk after a rather wet night with his buddies at the local bar. They had celebrated after lynching Dutch_guy, that damn Mafioso. They had laughed hard making cucumber jokes and rolled on the floor laughing thinking of Dutch_guy in a teletubbies suit. Crazed Rabbit chuckled loudly reliving the night’s events. The streets were empty and Crazed Rabbit needed to relieve himself. He found a nice corner and was about to unzip when a growling voice addressed him:
“Hey Rabbit… I have a treat for you”. Crazed Rabbit turned slowly towards the voice. There in the middle of the road a man clad in black waited with… something orange in his hand.. it can’t be a carrot? “W..wh.. Who are you?”
The black clad man sneered: “I am your executioner Rabbit, It is your turn to die.”

The black clad man started moving towards Crazzed Rabbit, who cowered in the street begging for his life.
Suddenly a childlike but strong voice cut trough the night: “Bad, bad man. Tinky Winky not liking man with carrot”

The black clad man stopped dead in his advance towards Crazed Rabbit and looked around in confusion. He addressed the night: “Who dares to interrupt the conclave of shadows aka the Black Hand with vegetables?”

Tinky Winky came around a corner behind Crazed Rabbit looking quite stern in his fluffy face. “I do… there can be only one!” Tinky pulled out a katana that seemed quite ancient. In a flurry of movements Tinky Winky had reduced the carrot to Carrot Purée and loped the head of the Black Hand.

“Thank you for saving me... “ Crazed Rabbit stretched out his hand towards Tinky Winky.
Tinky Winky just stood there looking at the outstretched hand.
“There can be only one…” he replied and with a single clean stroke took the head of Crazed Rabbit clear off his shoulders.

Btw, db, if it isn't you, sorry for being so rude about your english skills. It's mostly fine, but as I say, there are elements in the tinky winky kills that would point to a non-native english speaker.

Also, I've been thinking. Maybe the game is already over for the town, and now it's just a battle between the serial killer and remaining mafios(o/i). If this is the case, we need not worry. But if this isn't the case, we have to work fast.

I think we have got the mafia. The style of the kills that weren't present last night seems to have changed, while the Tinky Winky kills only seem to have evolved. db came up as innocent in GH's investigations, but he also said that the serial killer and Godfather would come up as innocent.

Okay, some more analysis:

I know that I'm innocent. As do my fellow Masons, who have backed me up. Therefore, this makes doc_bean that much more suspicious.

While Silver, who has a reputation for being wrong, has been advocating the lynch of doc, I would hope that the level of tactics displayed on both sides in his most recent game would make him better at identifying mafiosi.

Sigurd was originally skeptical of my reveal, but he backed off and is now siding with me and voting doc. I can see several scenarios for this:

-He and doc are on the same side, and have already clinched a win. Highly unlikely.
-Sigurd is mafia, and trying to sway the lynching away from himself. Likely.
-Sigurd is the serial killer. The goal of the SK is to kill everyone, no matter what side. If this were the case he would have bandwagoned me instead of starting a new vote. Highly unlikely.
-Sigurd is innocent and believes me, and thinks that doc is mafia. Likely.

Cowhead hasn't been posting too much, and I do have an innocent result for him, not like it matters.

There are four people left. The only possible mafia grunt is Sigurd. The worst case scenario is that Cowhead is the Godfather and Sigurd is a grunt. In this case, we have already lost.

Right now I think doc_bean is the Godfather, and instead of killing me kept me alive and tried to discredit me. You had better be right, Silver.

Another possibility that just came to mind is that doc is the Godfather and Sigurd is the Serial Killer. Sigurd knows that he can't kill doc, so is just going for the lynch to get rid of his toughest foe and then eliminate Cowhead and me.

However, if this scenario is correct, then it doesn't make any difference on how I vote. But I would rather see the Serial Killer win than the mafia.

Yeah, this game got off to a weird start.

Round 1 you lynched doctor. Then that night the vigilante killed a mafioso, a mafioso killed the vigilante, and the serial killer killed the mafioso. Both of the possible "guilty" results that the detective could get were eliminated, rendering him and the Masons obsolete.

Thus, by round 2 there were only 3 roles of any significance remaining (out of 10). Strange the way things turn out.

I don't think anyone should be proud of their records this game...

The memoirs of a Godfather


Chapter 2







Well, well, I was picked as the Godfather again and my partners in crime were AggonyDuck and EMFM. We established our means of communication and MSN seemed to be best.
It was AggonyDuck who PM’ed our first kills since he was in invisibility mode and I was not.

Round 1

We were chatting away on MSN keeping an eye on the thread, discussing methods of killing when Drisos claimed his innocence. He became the obvious target.
We wanted to lay a red herring in our kills picking the katana kill. Aggony had some connections with both Divine Wind and Kagemusha from the STW period and we wanted people to think in that direction.
We were joking around and Tinky Winky came up. I can’t remember who brought up the idea in the first place, but we decided to use the famous TV character as our henchman.
Unfortunately our main opponent and partner in crime were a little innovative himself and Tinky Winky was put in the shade of the Cucumber man.

It seemed like MRD was the main suspect and I didn’t have to involve myself in the discussion. Then Reeink Roink goes ahead and makes it obvious that he is the Villain with his “anyone who votes me will be shot” line. He is a threat to us and needed to go. The Reeinkmaister starts gathering votes with Csar and Husar voting for him. We had already decided to cast our votes on different players to avoid getting a voting pattern. Aggony voted for Reeink Roink and that was a mistake that would cost him his life next night. EMFM cast his vote on Csar who was lynched.
It bode ill for the mafia next round. All though the logical thing for a vigilante was to not kill someone he proceeded to retaliate against one of his accusers.
Csar also confessed of being the Doctor.

Round 2

We knew that the Reeinkmaister was the vigilante and he became our target. We sent EMFM to do the kill. AggonyDuck sent the PM to Sasaki and we waited in anticipation. Would the Reeinkmaister do the honourable thing and not kill a probable townie?
Nope… Aggony went down with a bullet in his head and surprise, surprise; my other henchman got whacked by the Cucumber man. I was again alone. How could I win this game now? Oh.. in the PM from Sasaki, he mentioned that I was night killable and that meant I could get killed by our Serial killer.

People started throwing votes left and right but it was Discovery1 who got the most.

Round 3

I was left to my own devices but kept in contact with my henchmen. We had not really a plan for our kills since we worked side by side with the Serial killer. We tried to figure out who he would kill next and tried to avoid picking the same target.

Orb seemed to want out by trying to vote for himself. He became our next target.
I wrote up the kill and Pm’ed Sasaki. Again the Cucumber man put me in the shadow with his long write up and funny one-liners.
Oh well, at least MRD got the blame for it all. It seemed MRD was the lynch candidate but at the end Silver Rusher took the fall.
Not a lot of voting this round and this could just be my break. If people stayed away from the game I could pull it off. I would just be one of the players not too interested in this particular game; pulling a Kagemusha style mafia win.


Round 4

From the request by my henchman AggonyDuck I went after Craterus. Aggony wanted to include the red bag of Tinky Winky and suggested the bomb inside it. I remembered the episode where Tinky Winky put all sorts of stuff in his hand bag (yeah, I have two little girls you know and that means a father must sit down an watch the programs his kids are interested in) and hence the scooter in the bag.

I was a little surprised to see it was only our kill that got posted. Was Silver the Serial killer? Again MRD got the blame and this time he was promptly lynched with only three voting altogether. It seemed I could pull this off yet. That is, if the participation continued to be of such a meagre degree.

Round 5

It was time for Proletariat to go. Aggony had mentioned her earlier but I was a little reluctant. Something to do about killing a lady I guess. She had mentioned in the chat about other roles than what was listed in the introduction of the game without being specific. I got a little worried and took no chances of there being other pro-townie roles in the game still. I wrote up the kill thinking that the Cucumber man was gone. Just to make a little confusion. I also wrote the kill intentionally confusing the gender. Originally there were only he and him. I guess Sasaki took the liberty of changing it… all though not all of it.
Lo and behold, the serial killer was still alive, but we had switched roles. I did the long write ups and he did the short ones. As it turns out we were both non-native English speakers and hence Silver was on the right track.


A lot of small theories were put forward, but the strongest was dosed down (language thing) and BKS a native English speaker drew the longest straw.

Round 6

I decided to put up the charade of the switched roles giving the serial killer a little competition on his write-up skills. The serial killer mentioned Tinky Winky and effectively made the switch believable. I introduced another vegetable killer to make it obvious who my next kill would be. It seemed that my next kill got voted for and I chuckled a little. Divine Wind mentioned bills in his kill and Husar started to get too close at pointing his finger at me. I had to get involved or I wouldn’t survive. GH also claimed the Detective role in this round and I knew as a mafia that he was speaking the truth.
My target for this round was Divine Wind and little did I know that he was the serial killer. My kill description did mention that if Divine Wind was targeted the killings would stop and it was fitting that he was killed by his own invention.

GH suspected me but put a vote on Dutch_guy who I thought was the serial killer, especially after mentioning several times that Tinky Winky was still out there. I voted doc_bean to build up a little suspicion on him for a later round.
Dutch_guy got lynched and I had written my kill description already.


Round 7

It was time to get Tinky Winky back on the scene and I killed my carrot man and took Crazed Rabbit out in the same go. During the game Divine Wind made references to songs by Queen e.g. “another on bites the dust” and I got a little inspired and continued this with “there can be only one”. There was also a film that queen made the soundtrack to: “Highlander” one of my favourite films when I grew up. I bet some of you can see the connection here.

GH voted for me and I was in trouble. The classical mafia mistake here is to retaliate and vote for the one who voted for you. I could have bandwagoned GH when doc_bean voted for him but in stead I turned around and built a little RT (Relationship of Trust) believing GH was the Detective and voted for the only other suspect doc_bean. I was in luck… Silver supported me in this and all though I was a little worried that people might start to think he could be one of my henchmen I kept my peace. Cowhead was the one I was uncertain about. It was him I tricked so badly in my last game as Godfather. Would I be able to fool him another time?
GH came to my rescue and unvoted me and voted for doc_bean. I had no votes, GH had one and doc_bean had 2. No matter what Cowhead voted I would win.

I was going to write a story for the final two kills but I had no time yesterday and Sasaki just finished the game like he did.
I was going to write about GH being in the Masonic temple initiating Cowhead as a new mason. Tinky Winky would have used a chainsaw to break down the massive oak doors and fatally wounded GH and Cowhead. Tinky Winky would then take off his mask and revealed himself as Sigurd the Dragonslayer; on a mission to cleanse the town of demonic practises. The ability of speaking with the dead (with reference to Silver) was a clear demonic practise.

Oh.. in the PM from Sasaki, he mentioned that I was night killable and that meant I could get killed by our Serial killer.

Gah. I could've taken out two godfathers when I was the serial killer in Sasaki's first game...oh well.
