This is as mini mod and also my first mod so I need some help. This is not a historical mod the mod it is just to add fun and make it harder. In this the Themiskyrians will be the hardest faction to start with b/c you will be surrounded by romans and barbarians and barely any units with only 1 settlement. The Norweigns and Saxons will be the easy in the start b/c they will have many settlements in sweden and norway and the norweigns with have iceland and the most powerful fleet in the start and saxons have some of there most powerful units in the start.

This will have 3 new factions, Themiskyrians, Norweigns, and Saxons :duel:
I don't have photoshop so I need some ppl to make the skin and banners for the factions.

Themikyrians is a faction with very powerful infantry, but few cavalry and missile.

at the moment i'm afraid many people are concentrating their time on M2TW... so i suggest two things, either switch the mod to M2TW and hope to gain a following there or, more to your liking, learn to skin... there are plenty of tutorials in the scriptorium and you can use free programs like GIMP to edit skins and icons yourself

i'm sorry if this sounds a bit agressive and all but its quite a bad time to be starting a RTW mod when M2TW has just been released

I wish you luck with your MOD! Some times getting a team is kind of slow, but you'll get one, don't worry. If I may make a suggestion, you could post you mod on the TWCenter also. It is fairly dead now, but you never know.

P.S. What map are you using? Campaign map I mean. Is it your own or EB's?

most northern part of norway might be a bit hard. you might have to settle for about halfway or something, and you might have to settle for settlement names from this day and age.

Ok, if you do think of some traits or retinue for me to make, I need to know: Name of trait/retinue, what it will do, which cultures can get it, and a basic explanation of how you obtain it. And if you want, a description of the trait/retinue (like for "good commander" it says something like "this man knows how to lead troops into battle").

I don't think it's possible to even have 100% law in a city. I also don't think it's possible to set an ammount of time in a city for a condition to get a trait. And what does the SS stand for before Captain?

Maybe you should think of some traits that would be for the barbarians only, since that is what the mod is focusing on?

Allright, I think I can help with the following:

1. Putting traits and retinues into the game.
2. Putting quotes into the game.
3. Possibly putting faction descriptions into the game (like the description it shows while choosing factions).
4. Possibly editing starting diplomacy between factions.
5. Possibly editing events that happen in the game (like "stoic philosophy", or "eruption at etna").
6. Possibly editing what factions say when offered/give a diplomacy proposal. For example, when some factions ask for an alliance they may say "we are powerful and together will be unstoppable".
7. Possibly put names into the game. The names generated for children are randomly chosen depending on the faction, chosen from a list of first names, and then from a list of last names and putting them together. I can add/remove/change these.

The reasons I say "possibly" on some of these is because I have skimmed through certain files and have seen how I can probably edit these files. There are also other things that I might be able to find how to do, like putting in unit descriptions.

Keep in mind, I am not good at researching. Anything that I put into the game I would first have to have you type out for me or give a general idea about. For example, don't just say "ok make the description for this faction". You will actually have to type out what you want the description to say, or find someone else to do it for you. You should use some of the default descriptions as a guideline to make it sound like it belongs in this game.

Do you understand?

And one more thing, what culture are these new factions going to be? Barbarian?
