Hi guys.

I made a toolkits for extract files from m2tw .pack file.
The toolkits is still under development early, but it can extract files from .pack file now, I think it is a useful tool for mod makers.

I will make it better in feature. I will add more useful functions like replace file, add file and remove file etc.

MineHe, the unpacker is fairly useless this way. The problem is that CA uses a compression algorithm (archiving) in the .pack files, so unless you find a way to crack that, most data can't be extracted (except for those binary parts that aren't compressed).
Nice effort though.

The unpacker works ok, the problem is that..the unpacked files cannot be opened anyway :( The tgas cannot be imported into photoshop, as well as the texture files (the 'texture' format ones) :(

Yes, that is exactly what I mentioned above. The TGAs are compressed, so you can't read them unless you find the right algorithm to decompress them.

hello minehe , i help you to translate the chinese notice into english here .

and what do you need to notice
1)repack function could not be used because it still have some unknown code of the MTW2 pack
2)install this tool need the Microsoft DotNet 2.0 tool both , this tool will download from internet and install with the unpack tool at the same time . u can also go to Microsoft web-page to down Microsoft DotNet 2.0 first .
3)add and delete thne files in pack function still developing , it need some time to research
4)the creator said he had been read some unpack files *.text and *.bin , it's not the common files like the texts file in rtw , it still need tool to read it decode it , it still under research . but he think there are many coders in world , you guys can also try to decode it .
5)the tool may have bugs
6)the second verion may take sometimes to release

update 1.01
1)found out a Unknown code , now you can load the data_x.pack this kind of big pack as usual
2)improve the loading UI , add the loading information bar and cancal bottom
3)improve some function of running the tool steady
4)improve the loading pack file speed
5)fix the bug which could not enter the tool

The packs are not entirely encripted.

Just tried some .txt files, and those that are 1kb (descr_font_db and descr_religions) in size don't seem to be any further compressed. At least Word can read them no problem...
