About folders and files

Where i must put the "export_desc_unit" file?
What´s the correct folder?
Because i have the original game and only can mod the files into the "campaign" folder (for instance, the mercenaries).

You need to use the mod switch in order to use modded files.

I worked with the mod switch but i have a trouble, What´s the correct folder tree? because in the original installation neither data folder nor base folder are present.
I download the Epistollary´s Richard files, but i don´t know how i must put it.
