Has anyone sucessfully added a whole new trait to the game?

Are you asking about the technical part of which files to use or what exactly do write in the files...?

I know how to add traits, I've done it many times before. But, in MTW2 any traits that I add do not show up in the game, and I was wondering if anyone else was having this problem...

You need to start the game with the --io switch.
