Pojo at TWC has worked out that adding the following preferences to medieval2.preference


[multiplayer]
playable = true
hotseat_turns = true
hotseat_scroll = true
hotseat_update_ai_camera = false
hotseat_disable_papal_elections = false
hotseat_autoresolve_battles = false
hotseat_save_prefs = true
hotseat_disable_console = false
hotseat_validate_diplomacy = true

Enables PBEM and Hot seat campaigns with an easy interface. A fully working campaign hidden just out ot sight!

Only Problems with it, you have to send save game to other people, unless you are playing on the one computer, even then, diplomacy isnt avliable between two human factions, nor are battles.

It Works for 1.0 as well.

Some say diplomacy is available

the main problem is is that you can't play the battles player vs player, that's what MP is about

So...why is this buried? Actual PBeM/Hotseat without a mod is surely something to boast about...

My guess would be that it is unfinished, or that it has not yet passed the Q/A process. It would likely be unveiled in a future patch or with release of the sequel.
