Doesnt seem like having a warzone on .Net made people wanna stay there eh? Maybe people found it "lame" and that other forums "owned" Net. But Im just guessing of course.

Why, don't people get free speech here at the org any more?

(Sos, I don't like wise ass comments, especially stupid ones.)

It's the same as it's always been... post what you like, as long as you do not offend against my interpretation of the forum rules no action will be taken against you.

Small print: All interpretation's are subject to change. All decisions are final and irreversible. No apologies will be expressed or implied.

Of course, I reserve the right to live up to my name and to inflict unspeakable tortures on members... after all, that is what I'm here for. Best if you don't give me the oppurtunity.

Now, where did I put my happy pill's?

Perhaps this, from the Forum Rules, might answer your question.

Posts containing any generally objectionable material: knowingly false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise violative of any law.

In Samurai Warlords Beta ver 7.1 the game is balanced as the result of hours of painstaking trial and error, the game and it's experience is perfect, thus eliminating the need of a warzone

Lol, you don't know what he means by a warzone, do you?

Its a place for clans to get together to organise friendly games, afaik (not that I posted on .net but I think thats what it is).

I know org isn't exactly a haven for all things multiplayer, far from it, but AFIK organising friendly clan matches isn't vulgar, hateful, harrasing or obscene. Don't you think?

Warzone at .net wasn't exactly about organizing friendly games...

See R'as al Ghul list of topic. Therefore I think Jochi rule reminder is completly appropriate.

Anyway, it's a topic for the watchtower, not for this forum.

Monarch the Warzone hes refering to, is one similar to the old net. There you could take your feuds and make them public, there people ridiculed insulted and even caused some players to quit. Or if you have someone similar to Inquisitor General and his 50 alter ego's then thats where his posts would go and badda bing badda boom you got yourself another war of words!

In my opinion the warzone at the old net allowed for too many odd characters and too much rude behavior. Having one here would never work out because the bashing and tongue lashings would go against the very nature of this board. Personally, though it had a part, I dont think Politics is what completely ruined the old net but a place such as the warzone.

What ruined net was Rome (and to a point also wow), nearly all net members stoped playing at that point and no new (Rome) players were hanging there so it slowly died.

It was a nice place, was much better than whats here, and warzone also was quite fun you just didn't need to bother and start arguing with one of the couple wacky guys there.

MP Forums are created here, upon release or a little after, each totalwar title.

STW had the Barracks for tourneys/clans. And the more general/technical aspects of the game were discussed in the Sword Dojo. This was shared with the SP part of the game. It worked well, because the community was not that big.

The Barracks promoted into MTW, but it was hard to have discussions about MP in the Main Hall, because the game grew, especially the number of SP'ers. So the Jousting Fields were made to avoid confusion and frustration about SP-MP.

RTW got the MP forums it needed. M2TW will get the MP forums it needs. But only the kinds that fit into the org, not an open fire at will forum.

What kind of forum was this? Similar to Counterstrike chat?

The .net was a good place for a time, but things changed and people moved on. 7Bear7Scar did a great job controling the testosterone levels in the forums.

What killed the .net was key members like her and others leaving IMO.

Anyways, there is no need to have flaming wars, as you can see from the link to the .net forums, no one is interested in such a thing.

I think the permanent ban and ignore feature on MTW2 IS SLOWLY GETTING TO THE ANTAGONISTS IN THIS GAME.:laugh4:

Right, if so, why are you here? If you dont like the org ping off! There is no point bashing the org, im sorry to say this, but i really would like to hit you in the face at this point in time. A good way to ask would have been to say something along the lines of

".net had a warzone, and i think it worked really well because of:

The Warzone did:

I think it would be beneficial to the org if we had something like that so we could :

That would have been civilised, and a lot of people would post more/ nicer. Including me.

well you guys all rose to the bait with snooty replys and threats of physical violence... so maybe the org should have a warzone... ;)
