defender or attacker?

what is your stance on this one? how do you know who is attacker or defender?

reason i ask is sometimes my army setup gets screwed big time. ie: i make an offensive force and all i see about the enemy are just horse archers.

is it right to say before the game even starts who is defending or who is attacking?

The attacker is the one who loses the archer war....

Well, some maps you can tell by your starting position (guess and test the maps) based on your team #. Otherwise, I don't think that there is any way you can tell somebody to defend with a predictable army. My best defense is a strong offense, so if you told me to defend ide rush you :P

yeah but too many times my army is made for defence and the other guy is made for offence and HE EXPECTS me to attack him. honestly now.

With clannies in team games vs randomers we usually just attack.

(by attack I mean initiate archer war.)

But in 1v1s then surely guy with less archer range = attacker. If we've got same range then I usually just attack.
